Stanford Prison Experiment participant Clay Ramsay (Prisoner 416) speaks out about his experience, and why it's important to continue to share the full story, 50 years later. After being selected as an alternate in the study, Clay entered the experiment late after another "inmate" was sent home, stepping into the chaos that had been growing for days. What started out as a self-contained university experiment turned into a media spectacle that captured the imagination and attention of the world, shaping our understanding of human nature and forever changing the field of psychology. But the story of what happened during the experiment was shared with the world only by the man in charge, Dr. Philip Zimbardo. Today, most of the participants have gone on record to tell the whole story.
